Full Profile

How do the goals of the PROTEUS Consortium align with your professional interests?
With a background in psychometrics, my research focuses on assessing the impact of disease and treatments on the lives of patients and their caregivers. This includes the development of patient-reported outcome measures using both qualitative and quantitative methods; and the integration of patient-centered data in research and healthcare delivery settings to inform decision-making.

How has being a part of the PROTEUS Consortium benefited your work or research?
I feel fortunate that the PROTEUS Consortium has included me in developing their materials. The PROTEUS website provides a single access point to resources about PRO use and methods that I may cite in my research. These resources are broadly applicable to several disease areas, including oncology.

Can you share any specific examples of how you have utilized the resources provided by the PROTEUS Consortium?

One example is using the PROTEUS website for education. At Duke University School of Medicine, we offer both pre-doc and post-doc training in health outcomes measurement. We assign our students to review videos and read recommendations as part of their training. The PROTEUS materials make great discussion materials.
