Whether you have identified which patient-reported outcome (PRO) measure you want to use, or whether you are trying to determine which PRO measures are available in a target language, there are a variety of resources available:
- The translation and cross-cultural validation processes for many PRO measures are published in the peer-reviewed press, so you can conduct a literature search.
- You can also investigate whether there is a website for the PRO measure and/or email the PRO measure developer directly.
- The PROQOLID database provides comprehensive information about clinical outcome assessments, including information about available PRO measure translations.
- Note: information about translations for most PRO measures in the database requires a PROQOLID subscription.
- The Australian Cancer Quality of Life Expert Service Team (CQUEST) has a website with information on translations and cross-cultural validations for PRO measures commonly used in cancer clinical trials.
