This article, in support of “OncoPRO,” paper shows that about one third of patients in the United States would rather use an automated voice telephone interface for completing ePRO surveys during cancer treatment rather than web/smartphone. Those who preferred a voice interface were more often rural, older, and had fewer years of education. Providing an automated telephone interface to this population enabled outcomes to be similar to others in the study, thereby bridging the symptom control gap for these patients.
